Saratoga ArtsFounded in 1986 by and for artists and audiences, Saratoga Arts’ mission is to enrich the region by cultivating a vibrant arts community and by ensuring that the arts are accessible to all.
Saratoga Arts is your community arts center. In its 30+ years, Saratoga Arts has brought the arts to over 1,000,000 people through its programs and provided performing and visual artists opportunities to earn over $3,000,000 in art sales and performance fees. Saratoga Arts is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization that relies on the support of our members, friends and community. |
Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC)Saratoga Performing Arts Center’s mission is to cultivate, promote, foster, sponsor and develop among its members and the community at large, appreciation, understanding, and love of the performing arts.
The Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC), located in the historic resort town of Saratoga Springs in upstate New York, is one of America’s most prestigious summer festivals. Its tranquil setting in a 2,400-acre park preserve surrounded by hiking trails, geysers, and natural mineral springs draws vacation crowds and arts connoisseurs each year for immersive experiences of performances by resident companies New York City Ballet, The Philadelphia Orchestra, The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the Freihofer’s Saratoga Jazz Festival, Opera Saratoga, and concerts by Live Nation. |
Caffè LenaCaffè Lena presents extraordinary music in an intimate setting steeped in history. It is widely recognized as the longest continuously operating folk music venue in the United States. The Library of Congress calls Caffè Lena “An American treasure,” and we have been recognized by The GRAMMY Foundation for our important contributions to the development of American music. Yet we are proud to stay true to Lena’s founding vision of simplicity, kindness to strangers, and art above profit.
Opened in a former woodworking shop in 1960, the café has helped to launch many of America’s best loved songwriters, ranging from Bob Dylan in 1961 to Sawyer Fredericks in 2014, with an amazing “who’s who” list in between. |
Proctors TheatreWhat began as a vaudeville theatre in the early 20th century is now the Capital Region’s destination for major Broadway shows, cutting-edge film festivals, exciting special events, and everything in between.
Over the past decade, Proctors has expanded and made numerous renovations, which have made it possible to accommodate large Broadway productions, giant screen films, local performers, and ever-growing audiences from around the country. Universal Preservation HallUniversal Preservation Hall is a year-round performing arts and community events venue located in downtown Saratoga Springs, NY.
In 2015, Universal Preservation Hall became a part of Proctors Collaborative, dedicated to serving the community through arts, education, sustainable economic development and rich civic engagement. The renovation of our building’s nearly 150-year-old structure means the beauty and rich history of our space will be preserved and enjoyed for generations to come. |
Proctors CollaborativeProctors Collaborative is a new brand, embracing Proctors, Capital Repertory Theatre and Universal Preservation Hall, as well as subsidiaries like the School of the Performing Arts at Proctors, Marquee Power and Open Stage Media. The concept of Proctors Collaborative was developed in concert with key staff members and the Proctors board of directors, in acknowledgement of the venues’ collective status as the premier economic development, education and entertainment anchor of the region.

Capital Repertory TheatreCapital Repertory Theatre has a rich, local history of excellent entertainment and strong community relationships. Established in 1981, it came into existence through the dedication and perseverance of a group of Albany business, community and civic leaders. Donated labor, materials and expertise transformed the Grand Cash Market, an abandoned supermarket at 111 N. Pearl Street, into what was to become the home of Albany’s first professional resident theatre.

Park PlayhousePark Playhouse augments the quality of life for a diverse audience in the Capital District by producing FREE theatre in an outdoor setting, mounting high quality productions at venues throughout the region and providing arts education programs to young people in the community. By providing free and affordable admission at our productions, we make theatre an all-inclusive art form, accessible to people from all walks of life and socio-economic backgrounds. Our education programs teach valuable life lessons about collaboration and teamwork, while helping to train the area’s next generation of theatre artists. Park Playhouse takes a leadership role in enhancing the cultural landscape of New York’s Capital Region.
